Maintenance Electrician - Unique Secure Environment Role: Electrician Location: Evesham Shift: 8am to 5pm Salary: £ 35,000 Basic + 15% Shift Allowance + On-Call Package (£40,250 OTE before OT) Are you a qualified Electrician looking for a stable, long-term career with a national leader? We are recruiting for a major public service provider to maintain the electrical infrastructure at secure location . This isn't your typical environment. The area is known for its open areas, spacious layout, and manageable workload (just five accommodation blocks). It offers a professional, supportive, and structured setting that balances security with a community feel. The Financials: Base Salary: £29,009 - £35,015 per annum (DOE). Shift Allowance: An additional 15% of your basic salary for the weekend rota (1 in 3). On-Call Package: Generous standby allowances when included in the rota. Overtime: Excellent opportunities for optional overtime to further increase your earnings. Holidays: 24 days + Bank Holidays (with the option to buy more). Key Responsibilities: Planned & Reactive Maintenance: Carrying out PPM and electrical repairs across the site. Fault Finding: Actively diagnosing and solving problems on various electrical systems. Compliance: Like-for-like replacements and minor works in accordance with BS7671 . Safety: Ensuring all systems are safe and functional to support a secure environment. Collaboration: Working independently or "buddying up" within a diverse team of 20 professionals. What we're looking for: Qualifications: City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 Level 2/3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent). Regulations: 18th Edition preferred (17th Edition considered with a commitment to upskill). Skills: Strong knowledge of Health & Safety, PPM operations, and Electricity at Work Regulations. Requirements: Ability to work at heights and pass Prison Security Clearance (full support provided). Desirable: Experience with Fire Alarms or CCTV systems.
