Temporary role for 6-12 weeks Cost £13.47 per hour - Monday to Friday Our client is looking for a dedicated Grounds Maintenance & Landscaping Operative to join their team temporarily, and play a key role in enhancing parks, open spaces, sports facilities, and public areas across the region. About the Role As a key member of the landscaping and grounds team, you will carry out a variety of maintenance and construction tasks to ensure all outdoor environments meet the highest standards. You’ll work on a mixture of soft and hard landscaping projects, contribute to sports surface upkeep, and help deliver improvements that encourage greater community use of green spaces. Key Responsibilities Complete a wide range of landscaping and grounds maintenance duties to agreed quality standards and timescales. Maintain full compliance with Health & Safety Assist in providing high-quality park features that promote increased public engagement. Undertake soft landscape construction work, following client drawings and specifications. Construct, develop and maintain natural and artificial sports surfaces. Ensure all work is delivered efficiently, within project deadlines and cost guidelines. Support the planting, maintenance, and care of trees, shrubs, and highway greenery. Utilise previous experience in landscape construction or the wider construction industry to support project delivery. About You The ideal candidate will have: Experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or construction Practical knowledge of outdoor maintenance techniques A positive, proactive attitude Ability to work safely at all times Good communication and teamwork skills Relevant horticultural, landscaping or grounds maintenance qualifications would be an advantage but are not essential.
