Machine Tool Fitter Tamworth £35,000 + regular overtime paid at premium rates Looking for a stable, long-term engineering role with great hours, overtime, and variety? Early finish Fridays – 2:00pm Regular overtime available (paid at premium rates) Workwear provided Paid holiday + bank holidays Free on-site parking Clean, well-equipped workshop Varied, interesting work – no two days the same The Role – Machine Tool Fitter You’ll be working on new and refurbished machines, jigs and fixtures , supporting a wide range of industrial clients. Your duties will include: Overhauling, repairing and refurbishing machine tool components Building and working with jigs and fixtures (toolmaking) Installing new equipment and supporting ongoing project work Completing parts requisitions to maintain stock levels and minimise downtime Reading and working from engineering drawings and schematics Occasional flexibility to support work outside standard hours when required What we’re looking for: Apprenticeship-trained or time-served engineer (or equivalent experience) Strong background in machine tool fitting / mechanical assembly Experience working with jigs and fixtures Confident reading technical drawings Organised, reliable and quality-focused Able to work safely, independently or as part of a team Electrical or mechanical qualifications advantageous but not essential What’s in it for you?
