Mechanical Fitter Full time permanent Monday – Thursday 6am-4pm. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be required to: Carry out mechanical fitting, maintenance and refurbishment on rail vehicles and associated components Work from engineering drawings and technical documentation to complete mechanical assemblies and repairs Inspect, strip, repair and reassemble rail components to a high standard Work safely and efficiently within a workshop environment while maintaining quality standards Support the team with a variety of mechanical engineering tasks across rail equipment and systems The ideal candidate will be: Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally within the rail or heavy engineering sector industry is desirable but not essential Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Adaptable and able to work on a range of rail components and assemblies
