Job summary
Location: Leicester Job Type: Full-time, Permanent We are currently seeking experienced HGV and/or Plant Mechanics to join an established engineering operation based in the Leicester area. This role would suit a capable and hands-on engineer with previous experience working on heavy vehicles, plant equipment, or similar machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs to ensure equipment remains safe, reliable and compliant. The Role: Carry out planned maintenance and reactive repairs Fault finding on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems Attend breakdowns where required Complete job-related paperwork accurately Work to health & safety and compliance standards The Candidate: Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic, Plant Fitter or similar Relevant qualifications or time-served experience preferred Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Full UK driving licence preferred What’s on Offer: Competitive salary depending on experience Overtime opportunities Stable, long-term employment Supportive working environment This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking for a secure role with consistent work and long-term prospects.
