TIG Welder – Aerospace Manufacturing Location: Derby Pay: £18.01 per hour Schedule: Monday–Thursday 7:30am–4:00pm | Friday 7:30am–12:30pm A well-established aerospace manufacturing company is looking for an experienced TIG Welder to join its production team in Derby. This role focuses on welding precision aluminium aircraft components , so candidates must have strong, hands-on experience welding aluminium , particularly thin gauge materials. Key Responsibilities Perform TIG welding on aluminium aircraft components Adjust sheet metal parts to correctly fit welding jigs Use measuring equipment to confirm parts meet engineering drawings Maintain strict compliance with health and safety procedures Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing and production processes Support sustainability and energy reduction initiatives within the department Key Requirements Extensive experience TIG welding aluminium (essential) Experience working with thin gauge sheet materials Ability to understand and work from technical drawings (preferred) Basic fabrication experience using hand tools Strong practical skills and attention to detail Ability to work effectively within a team-focused manufacturing environment What the Role Offers Competitive hourly rate of £18.01 Early finish every Friday Opportunity to work within the aerospace manufacturing sector Training and development opportunities to support continued growth in the role
