Site Engineer / Setting-Out Engineer Location: Northolt, West London Rate: Up to £380 per day (PAYE Umbrella) Contract: 6 Months (Potential Extension Site Engineer / Setting-Out Engineer with experience of RC Works / Groundworks required for our client a Civil engineering and tunnelling specialist with a strong reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects across the UK. The Site Engineer will be working with a company that are hard workers but with honesty, quality, and social responsibility at the core of our values, are committed to delivering excellence not just to clients, but also to the communities and environments we operate in. Looking for experienced Site Engineers to join our dynamic site delivery team working across a variety of civils and tunnelling projects. The Site hours will be 7-7 with a mixture of nights and days and will be PAYE umbrella location of works runs are in Northolt. Site Engineer Salary & Benefits Rate up to: £360 per day circa 6 months contract Potential for long-term work for the right candidate Involvement in technically challenging and nationally significant projects Opportunities to work within a respected and growing specialist contractor Site Engineer Job Overview Set out detailed civil works in accordance with technical drawings and specifications. Regularly check drawings, plans, and quantities to ensure accuracy on-site. Ensure all works meet quality standards and maintain robust quality records to client specification. Support the site team with engineering solutions to technical challenges. Carry out pre-start site surveys and ensure readiness for works. Ensure smooth handover of completed works and documentation, working closely with the Project Manager. Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements. Perform site instrument calibration checks as required. Identify and assist in resolving any unforeseen technical issues that arise on site. Site Engineer Job Requirements Previous experience on civils projects is essential, ideally including RC Works / Groundworks background Strong track record of setting out on civil engineering sites. Sound knowledge of construction methods, site safety, and relevant regulations. Valid CSCS card required. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
