Health & Safety Trainer / H&S Trainer / Safety Trainer / Health & Safety Instructor / Health & Safety Tutor / Utilities Safety Trainer / Water Industry Safety Trainer / Streetworks Trainer / Civils Safety Trainer / Mains Layer / Water Mains Layer / Utilities Operative / Civils Operative / Groundworker (Utilities) UK Wide (home-based with travel) £45,000 + Car Allowance Monday to Friday I’m working with a training provider who are looking to bring in a Health & Safety Trainer to support delivery across their programmes, specifically within the water / utilities sector. The role Deliver health & safety training to apprentices and existing operatives within the water industry Teaching areas focused on site safety, utilities environments, risk assessment, safe systems of work and compliance Deliver training aligned to real-world water and utilities sites (mains laying, reinstatement, streetworks, treatment works etc.) Support both initial training and upskilling programmes Deliver a mix of classroom and practical-based sessions Travel to client sites across the UK as required Support learners through training, assessments and progression What they’re looking for Must have worked across water utilities projects (mains laying, civils, streetworks, infrastructure etc.) Background as a mains layer, utilities operative, groundworker or similar Open to trainers or experienced site-based professionals looking to move into training Health & safety knowledge within site environments (utilities/civils) Teaching / assessing qualifications beneficial but not essential (can be supported) Comfortable delivering to groups and representing the provider on client sites Willingness to travel nationwide What’s on offer £45,000 salary Car allowance Monday to Friday working pattern Opportunity to move into or develop within training with full support Good opportunity for someone from a utilities/site background to step into training, or an existing trainer looking for a broader UK-wide role.
