Senior Maintenance Engineer Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + Company Benefits Location: Central London (commutable from: Watford, St Albans, Slough, Maidenhead, Reading, Dartford, Bexley, Orpington and Sevenoaks). Are you a highly experienced, hands-on maintenance engineer ready to step into a senior supervisory role, combining technical expertise with day-to-day leadership and coordination? This is a permanent position overseeing maintenance activities at a secure industrial defence site. The role balances hands-on engineering support with office based responsibilities, including team supervision, client liaison, and contract delivery. You'll be joining a well-established industrial maintenance provider supporting defence and aerospace clients. The environment prioritises reliability, quality, and safety over fast-paced production, offering long-term stability and a technically engaging workload. You will supervise a small team of engineers and subcontractors, remaining actively involved in fault-finding and maintenance across hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and electrical control systems, while supporting planning, reporting, and client communication. This role suits a time-served engineer with strong industrial maintenance experience who enjoys leading from the front. You'll be practical, organised, and comfortable in fault finding and problem solving on industrial equipment.
