Grounds Maintenance Operative Location: Chingford Salary: £16.58 per hour Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:45am start (36 hours per week) Overtime: Occasional overtime available About the Role We are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to support the upkeep and presentation of outdoor public spaces. This is a hands-on outdoor role focused on maintaining clean, safe and well-presented grounds and green spaces. The role requires someone physically fit, reliable and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Key Duties Grass cutting and lawn maintenance Hedge trimming, pruning and weed control Operating grounds maintenance equipment including mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters and other machinery General upkeep of outdoor areas and pathways Leaf clearing and litter picking Planting and maintaining shrubs, plants and green areas Assisting with general landscaping duties Driving vehicles between sites when required Carrying out basic equipment checks and maintenance Ensuring all outdoor areas are kept safe, tidy and presentable Requirements Full UK Driving Licence (essential) Experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping is essential Experience using machinery such as mowers, strimmers or hedge cutters is essential Physically fit and able to carry out manual outdoor work Reliable with a strong work ethic Able to work independently and as part of a team Why Apply?
