Maintenance Engineer 4 Days on / 4 Days off - Night Shift 6pm - 6am £40,560 per annum Are you a skilled Mechanical Engineer with a knack for keeping machinery running smoothly? We’re on the lookout for a dedicated Permanent Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in Swindon, Wiltshire. You'll be responsible for machine setting, carrying out regular inspections, and troubleshooting a variety of mechanical and pneumatic issues—keeping production seamlessly flowing. Responsibilities: Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues early Create and follow preventive maintenance schedules to keep equipment running at peak performance Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic failures swiftly and efficiently Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system upgrades Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimise processes and improve machine reliability Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and operational procedures Who will fit in well: Solid experience in Mechanical Engineering and maintenance practices Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems Knowledge of PLCs, HVAC, and automation systems is a plus Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure Ready to work day shifts from 6pm to 6am on a rotating 4 days on, 4 days off basis What you get: Night shift hours (6pm - 6am) – perfect for maintaining a healthy work-life balance Opportunities for professional development and growth within a dynamic company Click the Apply button now – we’re excited to hear from you!
