Duct Fitter

Job summary

We are currently recruiting an experienced Duct Fitter to join a busy mechanical installation team on a commercial project. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and fitting metal ductwork systems to a high standard, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and in line with drawings and site requirements. Key Responsibilities Install galvanised metal ductwork (spiral, square/rectangular, circular) on site Read and work from mechanical drawings, schematics, and ductwork layouts Measure, cut, assemble, and fit ductwork sections accurately Fit associated components including: Fire dampers Volume control dampers Grilles and diffusers Access panels Flexible connections Use hand and power tools safely and correctly Ensure ductwork is level, aligned, supported, and installed to specification Work collaboratively with mates, supervisors, and other trades on site Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times Follow site H&S procedures and company standards Requirements Proven experience as a Duct Fitter (metal ductwork) Ability to read and interpret HVAC/MEP drawings confidently Strong knowledge of ductwork installation methods and standards Competent using relevant tools and equipment Good attention to detail and high-quality workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Essential Qualifications / Tickets Valid CSCS card (Blue Skilled Worker preferred) IPAF / PASMA (beneficial but not essential) Own tools and PPE Desirable Experience working on large commercial projects NVQ Level 2/3 in Heating & Ventilation / Ductwork (or equivalent) Previous experience working alongside duct mates and leading small teams
