Fitters Mate – Permanent Position Location: UK Wide (Based near Wooburn Green) Pay Rate: £12.21 – £12.50 per hour (with potential increase) Overtime: Available for the right candidate Hours: Monday to Friday – Up to 60 hours per week Standard Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm (30 mins unpaid lunch) Holiday: 20 days + Bank Holidays Vanta Staffing are recruiting for a Fitters Mate to join a growing and well-established company specialising in dust extraction systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone reliable and enthusiastic who is keen to learn and develop within a skilled engineering environment. The Role You will be working alongside experienced fitters, assisting with the installation of dust extraction systems at customer sites across the UK. The role involves regular travel, early starts, and occasional overnight stays. Key Responsibilities Assisting skilled fitters with system installations Supporting on-site mechanical installation work Travelling to customer locations nationwide Maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism Representing the company positively on site Requirements Some mechanical installation experience preferred (training provided) Full UK driving licence advantageous (not essential) Positive attitude and willingness to learn Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Willing to work long hours and stay away when required Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy Flexible for occasional weekend work (optional) What’s on Offer Permanent employment Competitive hourly rate with overtime opportunities Training and development Long-term career progression Supportive team environment
