Benefits; Competitive salary commensurate with experience Flexible and hybrid working options Generous annual leave allowance Paid professional memberships and structured CPD support Clear progression pathway to Principal or Associate level Supportive, close-knit team culture Opportunities to work on varied and meaningful projects across rural and urban landscapes The Senior Ecologist will; Lead a diverse portfolio of ecological projects from tender to completion Undertake and oversee protected species surveys and habitat assessments Deliver high-quality technical reports, EcIAs, and Biodiversity Net Gain strategies Provide expert ecological advice to clients, planners, and design teams Mentor junior ecologists and contribute to team development Support business development and maintain strong client relationships You will ideally have; Strong field survey experience and sound botanical knowledge Expertise in UK wildlife legislation and planning policy Experience producing EcIA and BNG assessments Protected species licences (desirable) Membership of CIEEM (or working towards) Excellent communication, organisation, and project management skills This role offers the chance to combine technical excellence with leadership influence in a consultancy that values professional growth, collaboration, and delivering measurable environmental outcomes.
