Mechanical Fitter Bridgwater | £18.50 – £22.50 per hour (DOE) | 39–60 hours per week | 4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights) Weekly Pay | Immediate Start | Temporary to Permanent We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a busy engineering team in Bridgwater . This role offers excellent earning potential with overtime available and the opportunity to secure a permanent position . You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs, installations and upgrades on mechanical equipment both on site and at customer locations in the local area. Mechanical Fitter Duties Carry out maintenance, shutdowns and machine installations Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) Respond to mechanical breakdowns and faults Strip, inspect and repair mechanical equipment Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs Travel to customer sites around Bridgwater Mechanical Fitter Requirements Minimum 2 years’ mechanical fitting experience Engineering qualification Strong fault finding and mechanical repair skills Ability to work independently and within a team Welding or fabrication experience (advantageous) What’s On Offer £18.50 – £22.50 per hour Weekly pay 39–60 hours per week 4 on / 4 off shift pattern Temporary to permanent opportunity Immediate start available Apply now via this job board or contact Smart Recruitment Yeovil for more information.
