Your Company: A fast-growing, multi-channel retail organisation operating within the home improvement sector is seeking a driven and customer-focused Local Trade Account Manager to join its team in Poole. You will work closely with both retail and trade customers, helping them source products, generate quotes, and complete orders while also proactively building a network of trade accounts within the local area. Your Role and Responsibilities: While in this position your duties may include, but are not limited to: Drive trade sales growth across the Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole area. Build and maintain strong relationships with local builders, plumbers, installers, and property developers. Identify and onboard new trade customers, expanding the local client base. Act as the main point of contact for trade customers seeking product sourcing, advice, and project support. Deliver exceptional service to encourage repeat business and long-term customer relationships. Assist retail customers visiting the outlet with product advice, quotations, and purchasing decisions. Process trade and retail orders accurately and efficiently. Respond to customer enquiries, including order queries and issue resolution. Ensure every customer receives a consistent, professional experience. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and customer satisfaction. Achieve combined monthly sales targets of approximately £60k–£80k. Manage a personal sales pipeline from initial enquiry through to order fulfilment. Produce accurate and commercially competitive quotations. Identify opportunities to maximise order value and improve conversion rates. Monitor and follow up on leads to ensure opportunities are converted into sales. Maintain an active and professional presence on the showroom floor. Support store opening and closing procedures in line with operational standards. What You Will Need to Apply: Please apply only if you meet the following criteria : Previous experience within KBB, plumbing, heating, or a related home improvement sector – essential. Proven experience selling products or services to trade customers. Experience working within a retail, showroom, or customer-facing sales environment is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and grow a sales pipeline. Strong understanding of the sales process and customer journey. Commercially minded with a target-driven approach to sales. Confident communication and relationship-building skills. Comfortable using CRM systems and sales tools. Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage workload independently. Adaptable and comfortable working within a fast-paced retail and trade environment.
