Multi-Trade Operative Location: Cornwall Salary: £37,500 – £38,000 per annum Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent About Us We are a recruiting for a reputable building contractor delivering high-quality property maintenance services on behalf of a leading Housing Association. Due to continued growth and the ongoing success of their void property contract, we are looking to recruit an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to join their team. The Role Working on a dedicated voids contract for a Housing Association, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of repairs and refurbishment works to bring empty properties back to a lettable standard within agreed timescales. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong all-round skillset and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship and excellent service Key Responsibilities Carry out multi-trade repairs and maintenance in void residential properties Complete works including (but not limited to): Carpentry (doors, skirting, kitchen repairs) Basic plumbing (tap changes, sanitary ware replacement) Patch plastering and making good Tiling repairs Painting and decorating Bathroom and kitchen fitting Ensure properties meet lettable standards and client specifications Work efficiently to meet turnaround deadlines Maintain high standards of health and safety Provide excellent customer service when interacting with tenants and housing officers Accurately complete job reports and paperwork Requirements Proven experience as a Multi-Trade Operative in social housing or void properties Strong carpentry skills (essential) Good all-round trade knowledge Ability to work independently and manage workload Full UK driving licence CSCS card (preferred) What We Offer Competitive salary of £37,500 – £38,000 per annum Company van and fuel card Company uniform and tools Pension scheme Stable, long-term work with a growing contractor Supportive team environment If you would like to be considered for this opportunity, please contact Ellie Benson at DK Recruitment
