Groundworker – Civils Operative (UK Wide) My client is expanding fast and is looking to take on an experienced groundworker to work on short-duration civils projects across the UK. They actually need two people to join the team. KEY INFO – READ FIRST Working away: up to 4 nights per week (UK wide) Location: must be based in the North West , within reach of Preston Salary: £35,000 basic + £5,000 guaranteed overnight premium (£40,000 total) Role: permanent, Monday–Friday (45 hours) Essential qualifications NRSWA (Streetworks) CPCS/NPORS 360 Excavator (below 10 tonne) Full UK driving licence Minimum 10 years’ experience as a groundworker (Proof of qualifications required) The role As a groundworker , you’ll carry out general civils and groundwork on car park installations, ensuring jobs are completed safely and on time. This includes: Excavations and service trenching Installing bollards, columns and signposts Kerbs, paving, concrete, tarmac and reinstatement Using CAT & Genny to locate underground services Operating small highways maintenance plant Working safely and to high quality standards Communicating with clients on site This is a hands-on role suited to a groundworker who takes pride in high standards and tidy finishes. Working away This role involves staying away up to four nights per week .
