Job Title: Groundworker (Drainage & Kerbing) Location: Delamere, Cheshire Rate: £21.00 per hour Duration: 6 Months Start Date: Immediate The Role We are seeking an experienced and reliable Groundworker for a long-term project in the Delamere area. This is a 6-month contract focusing primarily on the essential infrastructure and external finishing of a new development. If you are a hard worker who takes pride in a level finish and a clear trench, we want to hear from you. Primary Responsibilities Drainage: Installing foul and surface water drainage systems (pipes, manholes, and inspection chambers). Kerbing & Edging: Laying kerbs, channels, and edgings to exact levels and specifications. Pipelaying: Working alongside machine operators to ensure safe and accurate pipe placement. General Groundworks: Assisting with foundations, sub-bases, and preparation for surfacing where required. Essential Requirements Experience: Solid background in drainage and kerb-laying is non-negotiable. Certifications: Valid CSCS Card (required). CPCS/NPORS for dumper or roller is a major advantage but not essential. Physical Fitness: Capability to handle the physical demands of a busy site in all weather conditions. Reliability: You must have your own transport, as site access in the Delamere area can be difficult via public transport.
