Mechanical Fitter (Heavy Plant Equipment) £40,000 - £50,000 + Weekdays Only + Optional Overtime + Local Patch + Progression + Company Vehicle + Fuel Card + Company Benefits Swindon Are you an experienced Plant Mechanic, with expertise working on heavy machinery, looking to join a highly accredited demolition company? On offer is a job at a well-established, multi-disciplinary company, that works across a wide range of projects within the mechanical demolition sector. Experience working with heavy equipment, especially Caterpillar, is required. Progression to senior positions is available. In this role, you will work on a variety of equipment, including excavators ranging from 20 to 90 tonnes. Your responsibilities will include repair, maintenance, inspections, fault diagnostics, and fabrication or modification of parts. The role will involve a combination of workshop-based and on-site work, depending on operational requirements. This role would suit a candidate with extensive experience in servicing and repairing heavy machinery, along with strong knowledge of hydraulic systems. Refresher training in welding and soldering can be provided; however prior experience is beneficial.
