Machine Tool Fitter – Robotic Welding Machines Salary: £35,000 – £37,000 per annum (DOE) Hours: Days | Monday to Friday Overtime: Regular overtime available at premium rates Location: [Insert location] Contract: Full-time, permanent The Role We are currently seeking an experienced Machine Tool Fitter to join a growing engineering team, building robotic welding machines and automation equipment from detailed engineering drawings. This is a days-based role with plenty of overtime paid at enhanced rates , ideal for fitters looking to maximise earnings while maintaining a strong work–life balance. Key Responsibilities Assemble and build robotic welding machines and machine tool systems from engineering drawings Mechanical fitting, alignment, and installation of components and assemblies Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and build instructions Assemble jigs, fixtures, frames, guarding, and tooling Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment Work to tight tolerances and high quality standards Support build, test, and fault-finding activities Adhere to health & safety procedures at all times Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Machine Tool Fitter / Mechanical Fitter / Assembly Fitter Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Experience building machinery, automation, or robotic systems (highly desirable) Confident using measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers, DTI) Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) What’s On Offer £35,000 – £37,000 basic salary Monday to Friday days – no shifts Lots of overtime available at premium rates Long-term, secure permanent position Opportunity to work on modern robotic and automated machinery Apply now or contact us for more details.
