Painter Decorator – Gillingham (6-Month Temporary Contract) We are currently recruiting an experienced Painter Decorator to work on a 6-month temporary contract based in Gillingham . This role is PAYE and offered via Pertemps . As a Painter Decorator , you will be responsible for internal and external painting and decorating duties, ensuring a high standard of finish across all works. This Painter Decorator position is ideal for someone reliable, skilled, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Key Details Location: Gillingham, Medway, Kent Contract Type: Temporary – c6 months Pay Rate: £14.31 per hour (PAYE via Pertemps) Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 Overtime: Saturdays may be required Painter Decorator Responsibilities Carrying out painting and decorating tasks to a high standard Preparing surfaces including sanding, filling, and priming Applying paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes Maintaining a clean and safe working environment Following health and safety guidelines at all times Painter Decorator Requirements Proven experience as a Painter Decorator Good attention to detail and quality of workmanship Good customer service skills as you will work inside customers accomodation Ability to work to deadlines Own tools preferred Basic DBS check required (or willingness to undertake one) If you are a skilled Painter Decorator looking for a stable temporary role in Gillingham, we want to hear from you.
