Job summary

HGV Mechanic Preston £40,000 – £50,000 Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 5:00pm. Occasional Saturday morning. Overtime at time ½ About the Role We are looking for an experienced and reliable HGV Mechanic to join our growing team in Preston. This is a hands-on role working within a busy workshop environment, maintaining and repairing a large and varied fleet of vehicles. You’ll be joining a close-knit workshop team and play a key role in keeping operations running efficiently. Key Responsibilities Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and fleet vehicles Conduct MOT preparation and inspections Diagnose faults and complete necessary mechanical work Maintain high standards of health & safety and workshop practices Work across a variety of vehicles including HGV, LCV, Skip wagons and Trailers Requirements Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic / Technician Strong diagnostic and repair skills Experience working with commercial vehicles and trailers Ability to work independently and as part of a team Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred) What’s on Offer Competitive salary based on experience Overtime opportunities Stable, long-term position within a growing business Supportive workshop team environment SER-IN
