Our client — a busy, successful main dealer in Southend— is growing and they’re on the lookout for a confident, experienced Technician to join their aftersales team. Whether you’ve been working as a Mechanic, Service Technician, Diagnostic Technician or within a prestige workshop environment, this role offers genuine progression with routes into Workshop Controller, Assistant Manager and Garage Manager positions. Salary: £32,000 - £40, 000 OTE £50,000 - £60,000 Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm (1 in 4) Saturday 8:30- 1pm Why you’ll love this role Life Insurance Company Pension Extra Paid Holidays Employee Discounts Work with a respected brand Clear training and development pathway — including management options Supportive team and structured workshop environment High-quality facilities and equipment A chance to build a long-term career within a thriving dealership What you’ll be doing (and doing brilliantly) Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs to the highest manufacturer standards Working efficiently to manufacturer-set timings to maintain productivity Completing accurate diagnostic reports and documenting work carried out Keeping your work area clean, safe and organised Communicating clearly and professionally with colleagues and customers Ensuring customer satisfaction stays front and centre Supporting and mentoring other Technicians as required Developing towards Assistant Manager responsibilities What we’re looking for NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in a prestige dealership or similar environment Strong technical skills and problem-solving ability Excellent customer service standards Able to work independently and take ownership of your output Full UK Driving Licence High Voltage (EV/Hybrid) trained preferred Motivated, target-driven, and adaptable within a busy workshop Sound like you?
