The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly and welding of structural steel components used within a wide range of construction and infrastructure projects. Working from engineering drawings, you will transform raw steel materials into accurate, high-quality structural elements in line with project specifications and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret technical and engineering drawings Fabricate and assemble structural steel components including: UB’s UC’s PFC’s CHS’s Carry out cutting, grinding and welding duties Operate fabrication machinery, hand tools and measuring equipment safely and effectively Ensure fabricated work meets dimensional and quality standards Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment Maintain a safe and tidy working environment Work closely with supervisors and production teams to meet deadlines Adhere to all health & safety procedures and PPE requirements Skills & Experience Required Previous experience within structural steel fabrication Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Welding and metal fabrication experience Strong attention to detail and quality Good understanding of workshop health & safety Reliable, punctual and hard-working attitude Ability to work effectively within a team Fabrication/Welding qualifications are advantageous but not essential This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading manufacturing environment with strong earning potential and long-term stability.
