Welder / Fabricator Tonbridge Area, Kent £29,000 - £38,000 DOE + Overtime Available Full-Time | Permanent | Day Shifts An established and highly respected engineering manufacturer based in the Tonbridge area is looking to recruit an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their growing workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and expanding business that specialises in bespoke stainless-steel fabrication, structural metalwork, and precision engineering projects for commercial and industrial sectors. The Role This is a hands-on fabrication position where you will be involved in projects from start to finish. The company operates a "one person, one job" approach, allowing engineers to take ownership of their work throughout the manufacturing process. Typical duties include: MIG and TIG welding Stainless steel vessel fabrication Sheet metal and plate work Stainless steel pipework fabrication Structural steel fabrication including: Platforms Frames Walkways Staircases Occasional machine work Rare site installation work when required Candidate Requirements The successful candidate will ideally have: Around 8 years' hands-on fabrication and welding experience Strong MIG and TIG welding skills Experience working with stainless steel Ability to read and work from engineering drawings A proactive attitude and ability to work independently Willingness to undertake occasional site work What's on Offer Salary between £29,000 - £38,000 depending on experience Overtime opportunities available Permanent day shift role 25 days holiday + bank holidays Pension scheme Training provided including: Overhead crane training Forklift training Working at heights training Genuine long-term opportunity with progression potential Working Hours Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 5:00pm Friday: 7:00am - 3:00pm Total: 46.5 hours per week This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a stable and forward-thinking organisation.
