Welder/Fabricator Full-Time | Permanent Monday to Friday : 06:00–14:00 or 14:00–22:00 £32,000 – £34,000 Derbyshire Rise10 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced and skilled Fabricator / Coded Welder on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturer within the structural steel and material handling sector. We are seeking a highly capable Coded Welder with proven experience in structural steel fabrication, including mezzanine floors and associated structural components, working to EN1090 standards. The successful candidate will be quality-focused, safety-conscious, and confident working both independently and as part of a wider fabrication team. Key Responsibilities Carry out MIG and MAG welding on structural steel fabrications, including mezzanine floors and cantilever racking systems Work in line with EN1090 Execution Class 2 standards and all associated quality and safety procedures Read and interpret technical and manufacturing drawings accurately Follow WPQR and WPQS welding specifications Conduct visual inspections and assist with non-destructive testing (NDT) where required Operate welding tools and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently Collaborate with designers, fabricators, supervisors, and management to meet project deadlines Complete weld repairs and modifications when necessary Ensure correct preparation, handling, and finishing of materials Maintain high housekeeping and health & safety standards within the workshop Operate fabrication machinery including: press brake, semi-automated band saw, automatic and handheld plasma cutters Candidate Profile Coded Welder certification to EN1090 Execution Class 2 standard Proven experience welding structural steel and mezzanine flooring systems Strong understanding of welding processes, materials, and metallurgy Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols Experience with NDT methods (desirable but not essential) Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Strong problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and within a team environment Flexibility to work both on-site and within the fabrication workshop A positive, proactive, “can-do” attitude Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines RWC certification is advantageous but not essential Looking for your next challenge?
