Job Title: Vehicle Electrician Job Type: Temp to Perm Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour Hours: Monday - Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm Friday: 7:00am - 12:00pm Total: 39 hours per week Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Electrician to join a busy engineering and manufacturing environment on a temp-to-perm basis . The role involves electrical installation and fault-finding on heavy vehicles and specialist equipment, with a strong focus on lorry cab wiring and integrated systems. This position is ideal for a skilled electrician with proven experience working on commercial vehicles or heavy-duty machinery. Key Responsibilities Wiring and electrical installation within lorry cabs and vehicle bodies Installing, testing, and fault-finding vehicle electrical systems Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems in conjunction with electrical components Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with safety regulations Supporting production and build schedules within a workshop environment Carrying out inspections, diagnostics, and repairs as required Essential Requirements Previous experience as a Vehicle Electrician (essential) Proven experience wiring lorry cabs or commercial vehicles Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics Strong attention to detail and fault-finding skills Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team What's on Offer £16.50 per hour Temp-to-permanent opportunity for the right candidate Regular, stable working hours with early finish on Fridays Work within a professional engineering/manufacturing environment Opportunity for long-term employment and progression Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
