Job title: Production Operative Job type: Contract (Potential long term) Working hours: Mon-Fri Salary: £12.51 per hour Location: Birmingham Full Job Description - Production Operative To carry out the safe and efficient sorting of gas cylinders by the effective operation on a sort stand Using a 2.5 ton counter balance FLT, unloading of cylinders and banks from vehicles adding to the dedicated bays - assisting Senior Plant Operators and Facility manager on day to day yard duties, Some general housekeeping will be part of the role. The place is a COMAH site having hazards (gas, pressure, noise, cryogeny…) Working as part of a small team on day work in a fast moving environment. How You Will Contribute and Grow Operate a FLT (Current License required), 2.5T counterbalance Safety-first policy - STOP for safety Record on documents for KPI reporting Operate fork lift trucks and pallet trucks safely and efficiently Comply with company and government regulations Experience in chemical/mechanical/related industries preferred Adopt a flexible approach to support operational needs Maintain a clean and tidy environment; report repair needs Good communication skills and teamwork Ability to manage own time and work clearly Used to working in a unionised environment Good health, fitness, and eyesight Flexible, punctual and willing to learn Manual handling of gas cylinders, pallets and straps If this is something that you would be interested in please apply with your updated CV.
