Grounds Maintenance Workers Pay Rate: £13.26 per hour Location: Sheffield City Council, S2 Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (6 months) Sheffield City Council are looking for five full-time Grounds Maintenance Workers for a six-month contract. This role is based in Norfolk Park, Sheffield, and offers a competitive hourly rate. Ideal candidates will be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Day-to-day of the role: Maintain park grounds and public realms to high standards. Operate maintenance equipment like lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping tools. Perform tasks such as planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching. Lift and transport heavy items and materials as needed. Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations. Work effectively within a team to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule. Report any issues or damages in public areas to supervisors. Required Skills & Qualifications: Physical fitness and ability to engage in strenuous activities. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Experience in grounds maintenance or a similar role is preferred but not essential. Ability to operate landscaping equipment (training will be provided if necessary).
