In this role, you'll deliver a mix of practical and theory-based motor vehicle sessions, helping learners develop technical skills, employability, and positive attitudes toward work. You'll break down complex tasks into simple, accessible steps and support learners with a range of additional needs to re-engage with education. The ideal candidate will come from a motor vehicle background and hold an IMI Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 qualification, alongside either a teaching/assessing qualification or a willingness to work towards one. More importantly, you'll be patient, adaptable, and motivated by the opportunity to make a real difference to learners who need a different approach to education. The Role: *Deliver practical and theory-based motor vehicle session *Teach maintenance, repair, and core mechanical skills *Adapt delivery to support learners with SEND, SEMH, and additional needs *Break down technical concepts into clear, simple steps *Support learners' confidence, behaviour, and employability skills *Maintain a safe, organised workshop environment with strong health & safety standards *Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback *Work closely with teaching, pastoral, and support staff The Person: *Background in motor vehicle maintenance/repair (Technician, Mechanic or similar) *IMI Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 qualification (essential) *Teaching or assessing qualification (AET, TAQA, PGCE etc.) or willingness to work towards *Experience working with young people or strong desire to transition into education *Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to different learners *Calm, patient and resilient approach *Passion for supporting and developing young people Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd acts an employment agency for permanent roles and an employment business for temporary roles.
