Job summary

The Finance Assistant will support the accounting and finance team in managing day-to-day financial operations within a regulated financial services environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with internal controls and industry standards. Description Process and code invoices, expenses, and credit card claims. Manage approval workflows and support payment runs. Maintain supplier records and assist with treasury tasks. Prepare accruals and support accurate financial record-keeping. Administer finance policies and manage the Accounts Payable mailbox. Support payment automation and general system improvements. Assist with year-end, data submissions, insurance renewals, and delegated authority tasks. Contribute to risk management as First Line of Defence. Promote strong information security practices. Profile A successful Finance Assistant will have: Knowledge and Experience Strong IT skills especially confident using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Good communication and interpersonal skills Relationship management skills Discretion is required as this role will often deal with highly confidential information Uses initiative to find solutions and approaches problems with curiosity and an open mind. Effective time management skills; able to manage several tasks and conflicting priorities. Good knowledge and experience of general insurance desirable but not essential Job Offer A competitive salary ranging from £35,000 to £45,000 per annum.
